Lexington Storage Hangar is a 40,000 SF four-bay storage hangar sized for Boeing CH-47 Chinook helicopters, a parts and storage room, a fire riser room, an electrical room, a mechanical room, an entry vestibule, pump house and additional support areas. Because the mission of the hangar is to maintain mission readiness, the hangar area is sized large enough to provide the minimum clearance requirements with the rotors in the operational position and built to meet HPSB and UFC 1-200-02 guidelines. The hangar bay structure is designed to be Crane Ready for a 7-ton bridge crane and no interior columns to maximize space flexibility. Kendra was project architect and John was Principal and Mechanical engineer while at their previous firm.
